International CISOs Knowledge Sharing 2026: Cybersecurity leadership from a global perspective
Between October 19 and 27, Oplium brought together more than 50 information security executives from Brazil, Spain, and Italy in Madrid, Milan, Maranello, and Rome for the fourth edition of its international CISO exchange forum.
Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical topic; it now occupies a permanent place on board agendas. Cross-border risks, increasingly stringent regulatory environments, and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence have expanded CISOs' responsibilities and made peer-to-peer exchange a strategic asset.
With this purpose in mind, Oplium annually hosts the International CISOs Knowledge Sharing, an exclusive forum for cybersecurity executives from leading companies in Latin America and Europe. The 2026 edition, the initiative's fourth, took place between October 19 and 27 in Spain and Italy.
Edition Highlights
4 executive meetings: Madrid, Milan, Maranello, and Rome
More than 50 CISOs from benchmark organizations in Brazil, Spain, and Italy, all Oplium clients
2 countries and a 10-day agenda
Strategic partners: Orca Security and Netskope
Integrated organization by Oplium teams from Brazil, Spain, and Italy
A Peer-to-Peer Forum
The International CISOs Knowledge Sharing was designed to promote direct dialogue among leaders responsible for security at large organizations. Each meeting combined keynote talks from CISOs, presentations by Oplium and its strategic partners, networking sessions, and dedicated space for discussing market best practices.
The discussions brought together executives from various sectors to address the latest cybersecurity trends and challenges: governance and risk communication with senior leadership, regulatory compliance, cloud environment protection, and the impact of artificial intelligence on organizational defense. The meetings took place in iconic venues and in a confidential format, an essential condition for candid peer exchanges.
Local Presence, Global Perspective
The choice of Spain and Italy reflects Oplium's structure. In both countries, the company maintains its own operations, and each gathering was led by the local team, bringing the insight of professionals who operate daily in that market. This combination of local presence and international reach bridges the gap between executives facing similar challenges across distinct regulatory and business contexts.
The Agenda
Madrid. The edition kicked off with meetings between the Brazilian delegation and executives from the Spanish market. The first gathering brought together CISOs from Brazil and Spain and was opened by Oplium teams from both countries, who presented the company's global footprint.
Milan. The agenda included a technical visit to an Oplium client's office in Italy, introducing Brazilian CISOs to the local cybersecurity landscape. The second meeting brought together executives from all three countries, featuring presentations by Oplium and partners Orca Security and Netskope.
Maranello. The third meeting, held in the Emilia-Romagna region, convened CISOs from Brazil and Italy for another round of discussions on information security leadership challenges.
Rome. The closing session brought Brazilian and Italian CISOs together around central themes on the cybersecurity agenda, with the participation of strategic partners.
The program also included institutional visits to clients in Spain and Italy, alongside a cultural and gastronomic itinerary at iconic locations in both countries, designed to deepen relationships among participants.
Relationships as a Strategic Asset
In cybersecurity, trust among peers holds practical value. It is what enables threat intelligence sharing, exchanging vendor and architecture benchmarks, and cooperating in critical moments. Throughout the edition, the forum consolidated a network of executives across three countries who can now rely on qualified peers beyond their own markets.
