With talks, hands-on simulation, and strong interaction with the audience, the Oplium reinforces its role in developing the cybersecurity ecosystem in Europe 

The Oplium Spain concluded its participation in RootedCON 2026, held in Madrid, consolidating another important moment in its work with the European cybersecurity community. Recognized as one of the sector’s leading events in Europe, the RootedCON brings together experts, researchers, and leaders to discuss trends, share technical knowledge, and promote the continuous evolution of digital security. 

Over the two days of the event, the Oplium maintained an active and strategic presence, reinforcing its position as a relevant player in building and strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem. The participation included three stage sessions, with content focused on exchanging experiences and discussing critical industry topics, as well as leading a TTX (Tabletop Exercise), a practical initiative that simulated an incident response scenario and brought together more than 60 professionals. 

The activity was led by David Marques, COO Oplium Spain, who guided the exercise by presenting real challenges faced by organizations in the face of cyber incidents. The initiative stood out for the high level of participant engagement and the quality of the discussions generated, being widely recognized as one of the most relevant experiences of the event for the technical audience. 

In addition to the official program, the stand of the Oplium recorded a steady flow of visitors throughout the event, fostering qualified connections with CISOs, specialists, and industry leaders. This close-contact environment contributed to strengthening relationships and exchanging perspectives on the current and future challenges of cybersecurity.
