Breaking Frontiers with DevSecOps: Oplium's Global Training Programs

Oplium continues to expand its commitment to strengthening the culture of security throughout the digital ecosystem. In October, we held two important capacity-building initiatives in Secure Development, connecting technology teams in Brazil and Europe around a common purpose: integrating security from the very first line of code.

Training in Brazil: more than 300 professionals trained.

In Brazil, more than 300 technology professionals participated in the training course "Code Flaws: How to Avoid Them," led by George Chaves (Director of Innovation, New Business & GRC) and Cristiano Santos (AppSec Specialist).

The session covered:

• the current landscape of digital crimes;

• the cost of vulnerabilities in production;

• The importance of Security by Design and threat modeling;

• Essential frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 and DevSecOps;

• Real-world examples and practices of secure coding.

The central message was clear: security starts with each developer.

International training in Europe: evolution of Secure Coding

In Europe, Oplium promoted the international training course "Secure Coding 3.0: Beyond the Basics," taught by George Chaves and Lucas Alves (Offensive Security Specialist).

The four-hour training session delved into:

• the concept of Security by Design;

• Threat Modeling practices;

• Emerging risks related to APIs;

• attacks powered by Artificial Intelligence;

• Practical mitigation strategies connected to real threats.

The training reinforced the role of DevSecOps culture as an essential link between agility and security in modern development.

Global impact and vision for the future.

These initiatives reflect Oplium's vision of transforming technical knowledge into global impact. From Latin America to the European Union, we continue with the same goal: to help companies develop secure, sustainable, and scalable digital products.

Oplium will continue investing in training, knowledge sharing, and initiatives that promote an increasingly mature security culture, connecting people, teams, and geographies around a common commitment: security that transcends borders.
